Underground Engineer Permanent

A great mining company in Welkom, Free State is seeking the expertise of an Underground Engineer to join their team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess level of issue-based risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes
• Perform planned job observations
• Document and review the maintenance strategy on an annual basis to ensure that it is aligned with the business plan
• Ensure strict adherence to the relevant engineering standards and specifications
• Investigate & communicate Commercial Exceptions
• Follow up warranty claims on component failures on high criticality equipment.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• GCC Mines and Works
• 10 – 15 years experience in an underground mining environment
